FAQS

Reiki Sessions - Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in a Reiki session?

Each session is a calm, supportive space where you’re invited to rest. You’ll lie fully clothed on a treatment table while Reiki is offered through gentle, non-invasive touch or hands held just above the body (depending on your preference). Many people experience deep relaxation, warmth, subtle sensations, or a quiet settling of the mind. There’s nothing you need to do - your body leads the process & I will do the rest!

2

What does Reiki help with?

Reiki is often sought for stress, overwhelm, emotional fatigue, sleep issues, pain relief support and nervous system regulation. Clients commonly report feeling calmer, clearer and more grounded after a session, with a greater sense of inner balance over time. While each experience is unique, the intention is always to support the body’s natural ability to restore itself.

3

Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to work?

No. Reiki doesn’t require belief, intention, or prior experience. You don’t need to understand how it works - simply allowing yourself to rest is enough. Many people come to Reiki feeling unsure or curious and still find the sessions deeply supportive. I believe Reiki needs to be experienced for it to be truly understood.

4

What might I feel during or after a session?

Experiences vary. You may feel deeply relaxed, emotional, clear-headed, or simply rested. Some people notice changes immediately, while others feel the effects unfold gently over the days that follow. All responses are normal, there is no “right” way to experience Reiki.

5

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on what you’re seeking and how your system responds. Some people book a single session for support during a busy or emotional time, while others choose regular sessions as part of their ongoing self-care. We can always check in and see what feels supportive for you.

6

Is Reiki safe?

Yes. Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that works alongside other forms of care. It does not replace medical or psychological support, but many people find it a valuable complement, especially when they’re feeling stressed, depleted, or disconnected from themselves.

7

Is this space right for me?

This practice is especially supportive for women who are sensitive, caring, or used to holding a lot. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, tired, or in need of a place to soften without explanation, you’re welcome here - exactly as you are.

8

What if I don’t know what I need?

That’s okay. You don’t need clarity before you arrive. Often the session itself helps create it.
